These two love sports.
Meet Erica + Max - he's from Boston and she's from NY. Their respective hometowns don't allow them to always agree...when it comes to ESPN highlight reels. The thing they have in common? They both knew going into this whole wedding thing that they didn't want it to STRESS THEM OUT. Cue relaxing meditation music .... and MODERN REBEL! Erica described not feeling like a "bride." "I haven't dreamed of this my entire life. I don't like making decisions. I'm just excited to throw a party with the love of my life." PREACH. We hear you. Pair that totally relatable feeling with one of our favorite venues, 501 Union? We were in!
But the best part of it all? There were traditions. There were Mazel Tovs and horahs and a white dress - the wedding part was there AND it was laid back, too. Sometimes people ask us - oh, so you're alternative planners? Does that mean you only do crazy, out-there weddings? That's where folks get it wrong. We love those offbeat, funky love-parties but first and foremost, we encourage our clients to make decisions that reflect them rather than a manufactured experience. Sometimes that just means a laid-back sorta traditional wedding - skipping some moments and emphasizing others but mostly just finding the balance the couple has already in their relationship. That's the icing on the non-existent traditional wedding cake :)
