We specialize in love parties [that’s what we call weddings] for the contemporary couple looking for a totally badass event that doesn’t compromise a lack of perspective. We recognize that couples are all unique, and we’re not interested in a manufactured wedding experience. We love getting to know our couples and ensuring authenticity + gorgeous details at their events. Not to mention, we are committed to non-fussy ease of communication throughout the process.
Our team is a diverse set of people who wanted to work in the event industry in some capacity but never feel like they fit in the traditional "wedding planner" role. We're not uptight and we don't believe you have to be to pull off a totally awesome event. We're relaxed, organized, and amazing at clear email communication and we have fun, too. Plus, we're growing rapidly so coordinating month-of clients now could mean running our marketing team later - like it did for Ainsley.

LEAD PLANNER + DESIGNER + COORDINATOR, MODERN REBEL LOS ANGELES
Candidates must be legally allowed to work in USA, 21+ years of age, and located within LA County.
Modern Rebel, an alternative event planning co. is currently in search of 1 person to act as Lead Planner, Designer, + Coordinator to lead-up the Los Angeles branch of Modern Rebel. This person will be in charge of bolstering Modern Rebel's presence in Southern California by fostering connections, pushing marketing materials, and then handling all discovery sales calls. They will then be the point person for event design, planning, and coordinating for any events. These events will most likely be weddings [well, Modern Rebel calls them love-parties] and this person will act as the west coast lead. All planning + coordinating processes will be fully trained - trainings are paid.
The ideal candidate has an additional job that does not compete but allows for time flexibility. The ideal candidate also is interested in a future full-time opportunity with Modern Rebel.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
-Attend and engage in community events to establish Modern Rebel presence in the LA Market.
-Distribute Modern Rebel Marketing Materials both in print and electronically to create awareness of the brand
-Growing Modern Rebel to have a year-round presence in LA county events
-Wedding specific experience
-Dynamic self-starter with strong work ethic
-Ability to work independently, prioritize work load, multitask, and project manage
-Confident, fast learner and quick thinker
-Strong listener with ability to communicate and interact across position levels
-Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive attitude
-Flexible schedule including some evenings and most weekends
-Passion for the Modern Rebel & Co. brand and mission
At least 2 year working experience in Events (preferably weddings) in Los Angeles.
This role is a sub-contractor position and paid by percentage to start - but may quickly turn salary once an agreed upon number of events have been booked.
For every sale, the Lead Designer, Planner, Coordinator of Modern Rebel LA will make 40% of package rate. [NET]
