At Modern Rebel, we firmly believe the wedding planning process should actually be enjoyable, so by the end of it, your relationship is even better off than when you started. Every wedding is unique because no two partnerships are the same. We dig that. Our goal is for our LOVE PARTY planning + design process to create a memorable and fun celebration for everyone we work with, helping them to create a strong foundation for their future together.
We believe in connection and kindness, and we’re committed to creating experiences that reflect these values. Whether you’re looking to bend the rules or break the mold of conventional expectations, or you’re looking to simply plan a beautiful, memorable event that’s true to who you are, we're here to help you every step of the way.
Plus, we donate 5% to local NYC nonprofits through each event so the party keeps going long after the disco ball turns for the last time on the dance floor.

About the Founder
Amy Shack Egan
Shania Twain super fan Sagittarius constantly following up ‘why’ with ‘why not’.
Amy founded Modern Rebel in 2015 on the basic principle that weddings should focus on the real star of the show: the relationship. In addition to planning love parties, she is a passionate advocate for shaking up the wedding industry and sharing her story as a female entrepreneur, feminist CEO, and disrupter of the status quo. Whether she’s speaking at events like the Nyack Wedding Collective and The Love Union, or sharing her insights in the New York Times, Amy is down to challenge conventional nuptial norms and champion a fresh approach to the wedding industry.
